Collateral Echoes combines commemoration, poetry and performance to move beyond headlines and statistics into something more human. This body of work by Baff Akoto centres memory, mourning and resistance to draw a deeply affecting diasporic mosaic of unheralded Black and racialised immigrant British stories.
"This work was born from real, collective pain," says artist and filmmaker Baff Akoto. "Making it has been a process of hope and empathy. Maybe, together, we can begin to heal, instead of looking away."
